Clinical psychologist Dr. Hande Gündoğan has graduated from Boğaziçi University Psychology Department in 2010. In 2012, she received her master’s degree on Clinical Psychology from Doğuş University, and in 2017, she completed PhD program on Clinical Psychology in Middle East Technical University.
During her master’s education, she worked as a psychotherapist in Doğuş University Psychology Research Laboratory and during her PhD education, she worked as a psychotherapist and as a supervisor to educate master students in terms of their individual psychotherapy practice in METU Clinical Psychology Unit.
Adding to that, during her master’s education, she participated as an educator, under supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Aslı Akdaş Mitrani, in the “Innocent Convicts Project”. For this project, she worked in group therapies named “Efficient Motherhood Skills Practice” for mothers who are prisoners or convicts and their children (0-6 years old). During her PhD years (2016-2017), she completed her clinic internship by practicing psychotherapy with Prof. Dr. Alp Üçok in Istanbul University Medical School Psychiatry Unit. Between 2012 and 2017, she worked as an instructor in Okan University Psychology Department.
During her master and PhD education, she completed trainings for cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive-existential therapy, and psychodynamic therapy approaches. Moreover, she completed Filial Game Therapy training provided by Purdue University Associate Professor Dr. Volker K. Thomas, and she participated as a project support assistant in Turkey by conducting research and providing applications in parents and children.
Dr. Hande Gündoğan is providing individual psychotherapy sessions with adults in Korto. Her psychotherapy works include childhood experiences, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship and communication problems, stress and time management, anger and related problems, self-esteem problems, and sense of worthlessness and inadequacy. Adding to therapy sessions, she is providing supervision for clinical psychology master students and clinical psychologists.
